TriTek ECM Connector

The ECM Connector offers Pegasystems customers the opportunity to integrate PRPC with FileNet Image Services and Content Manager repositories with an out-of-the-box framework. The integration enables PRPC work objects to be automatically launched and indexed with the receipt of incoming content and for that work object to display the associated content for its entire workflow lifecycle. To achieve this the Connector Framework includes two key components: the Launcher and the PRPC/Viewer integration.

Launcher

The first component of the ECM Connector Framework is the Work Object Launcher. The purpose of the Launcher is to dynamically initiate PRPC workflows based on incoming content. As documents are committed to the repository, the Launcher creates a PRPC work object, sets the properties of that work object with the index fields gathered from the content, and then groups related work in a single cover. This mitigates the need for downstream indexing of the work object and ensures that associated content and work objects remain linked throughout their processing.

Viewer Integration

After the Launcher creates and indexes the work objects, the second component of the Framework governs the integration. The viewer integration component provides a custom PRPC harness that enables the work object to automatically display a list of all related documents across the ECM repositories and allows users to view those documents with a single click on the link in the documents list. Integrated with Daeja viewer, the Framework automatically retrieves the selected document from the repository and displays it. As needed, the user is also able to update the document properties. All this without requiring any navigation away from the PRPC interface.
